Dear GHS,

Well it’s official, I only have one month until I finish high school. I’m not going to lie I’ve been waiting for this moment for four years now, but now that it’s here it seems a little bitter sweet. High school has been full of its ups and downs, but overall I’ve had an amazing time here. I still don’t know if I’ll come back and visit, well I guess I will if Ethan is on the football team, but even if I don’t this school will still be a special place for me.

One of the reasons why I love this school is that it is the place where I have met most of my closest friends: my amazing newspaper team (love ya Zoe, Kate, Morgan, and Julianna), my AP Trang Lang Gang/ Mormon Squad (love y’all too Saddie, Drina, and Amanda), and my all time favorite teacher who I love a ton and is the most amazing person ever Ms. Rooney. I wouldn’t have met these awesome people without you Grapevine, so for that I am eternally grateful.

On top of this being the place where I’ve met some of my closest friends, it’s also where I have made some of my fondest memories: my choir trips to San Antonio, Italy, and Disney, region trips with all of my friends and family from Newspaper, and finally winning the Rivalry game. Each year brought a new memory and every year the memories kept getting better and better.

Since walking through your front doors my freshman year you’ve transformed from the school that was my mom and sisters high school to my home. I’ll miss you and the rest of the people who call you home.

Thanks for everything,

Lindy Smith
